  5. sorting, ideally, 3-3.5 megs :-) -
  6. Requires DOS4GW.EXE, a special dos
  7. extender for Watcom C++ applications -
  8. Disk space:  Lots.  See below for a
  9. better answer. - Reads and combines .PKT
  10. files into one large .PKT file (multiple
  11. .PKTS if from multiple sources; the PKT
  12. headers themselves are preserved for
  13. security). - Reads according to .PKT
  14. file time/date stamp order (ie, older
  15. packets will be processed first, then
  16. the newer ones). - Sorts by area,
  17. subject, date, and time, up to the
  18. limits of memory (ie, the more memory
  19. you have, the more that can be
  20. contiguously sorted) - If AREAS.BBS
  21. found (standard AREAS.BBS format), it
  22. will be read, and _only_ the areas found
  23. in AREAS.BBS will be kept.  Useful if
  24. you get the entire backbone but only
  25. need a portion of it, ie satellite
  26. feeds.
